Darren works freelance in theatre, musicals, opera, television, film, circus and variety.

He has extensive experience working with Actors and Singers as a Movement Director , and incorporates many styles of dance in his choreography from Folk and Social dance to Jazz and Tap .

Darren has become a specialist in historical dance of many periods, including the Renaissance dances found in Shakespeare, and folk and ballroom dance through the ages.

He has experience of choreographing crowd scenes , scene changes, chorus in opera and social dance scenes . Recent scenes have ranged from the banquet scene in Henry VIII's Tudor court to the disco at a suburban Wedding Reception! His versatility can be seen in his choreography for the newly released Rufus Wainwright Music Video: Rules And Regulations.

He has experience of working with children in workshops and productions, including choreography on Children's TV, appearing with children on Blue Peter and creating devised dance and choreography with nearly one hundred deaf children at the Mary Hare School in Newbury.

The company’s repertoire spans all historical periods, from the 12th to the 20th Century, including the Renaissance, the Baroque, Regency and Victorian Balls, and Ragtime! The company has developed educational projects and performance, with a supply of dancers and actors trained to perform in all historical styles. Darren is available to choreograph and teach dances from all periods of history, and can supply professional dancers and performers if required for demonstrations, advertising, theatre performances and film / TV appearances.
